Chandler's code enforcement team publishes the timetable it works to, and reading it sets expectations properly. These are the department's own published expectations rather than deadlines written into the code, which matters mostly because it means they can move. Inspection follows a complaint in roughly two business days. A notice of violation allows about two weeks to correct. A final notice adds around ten days. Civil citations follow two to four weeks after that, and criminal prosecution, if it ever gets there, sits six to twelve months out. Most cases end early. But the outer edge of that process is a long way past the end of mosquito season, which is the practical reason your own property comes first.
Who you'd be dealing with
The city divides Chandler into geographic areas with a code enforcement inspector assigned to each, and enforcement runs both reactively from complaints and proactively from inspectors' own observations.
